Why is the back of my civic higher than the front?
Hello, I just bought a 99 Civic Coupe and it has a set of lowering springs with it. I was wondering why the back is sitting much higher than the front. The front end of the car is pretty low, but the back is high! Why?????!!!
I was wondering why the back end of my 99 civic coupe is much higher in the back? The front end is nice and low! They are lowering springs. But why is the back high? Did I do something wrong??!!

Yea the rear also has lowering springs and it is lower than stock, but its like 1 1/2 inch higher than the front, and its very noticeable, i dont like it. And for your information, the coilovers are about 1/4 inch from the front because of the perch!
My friend also installed lowering springs and the back was much higher than the front. What he did was that he cut like 1 coil off of the lowering spring and said that it rides the same and its nice and low in the back as in the front. should i just cut a coil off?
I cant say no because I have done that before. aslong as there is dead coils on it (bottom of the spring where the coils are very close together). once you cut after that, you start messing with the ride of the car and will feel like ****. but if your only worried about looks, cut away...
Try not to type in call caps. It makes it difficult to read and makes people less likely to respond.
Sounds like you may have the fronts and rears switched.
What kind of springs are they? Who makes them? Spring rates? Advertised lowering?

The "dead" coils go on top. That's why no one really buys lowering springs anymore because you really can't control the drop.
