I'm replacing shocks on my 01 Gs-r with
skunk2 sport shocks (part# 541-05-1010).

I'm really not too sure if I should cut the bump stops if I'm combining it with a Skunk2 Coil-over set I have.

And, missing stock damper mounting collar...is it absolutely necessary to have??

yep i did on my buddys install and his ride was lowered nicely and wasnt bumpy at all no squeking either

It depends on the drop you are expecting to have. You should definitely cut if you're going lower than stock, and how much to cut depends on how low you are going. You can always install the shocks and then see how much travel they will have at ride height.

I think installing the coilovers without all the recommended parts is a bad idea.

Thanks, I ended up cutting the bump stops. And found the parts I needed for a complete install.Rides like a beau
