Icon2 B16a vtec help.

I have a 95 civic cx hatch and just put a b16a in it and need help with hooking up the vtec. It's a p30 ecu. Pictures and diagrams would really help.

That's because those are the wires to the VTEC pressure switch. Not the solenoid.

Yeah where that bolt is you'll need to get a pressure switch from the junkyard, Honda or online somewhere. Any pressure switch 88-01 Honda or Acura will work.

Yeah if theres no bolt in that location you're gonna need a whole VTEC solenoid.

Also will the solenoid of a b16a2 go on the b16a because I know they have diffrent vtec engagement times but I don't know if that matters or not

I hate being such a noob!! at this lol but I cannot start my own thead yet so hopefully I will get some replies here I am swapping a b16a (obd0) into my 93 ex coupe. Im in no hurry to get it in b/c the z6 in it is running fine and I want to do it right. as far as ecu and wiring what kind of issues am I going to run into when it comes to dropping it in. I will be doing an all motor build on the b16 before swapping and any help with that would be greatly appreciated as well.

If you chip your stock ecu and run a Crome or other basemap you can eliminate the vtec pressure switch and knock sensor but you should still change over to a 4 wire o2 sensor
