alright well heres the story had new rings installed in the motor and put the motor back in the car with new oil pump,water pump, head gasket,arp head-studs and aem adjustable cam gears. then i start the car up and it shuts off right away talked to a couple friends and checked out everything was good until l found out the ecu is bad so i bought a chipped obd1 p72 and ran it with a conversion harness. now the car runs and drives but boggs out around 3k rpm don't know why i checked out all the wires,vac lines,timing, everything is good

so can someone please help me out here

 

Well what do you expect? You have plugged in a NON ITR ECU. How do you expect the car to run well after it is running off an ECU not tuned for it?

 

so if i get another stock itr ecu it should fix everything??

or you could just tune it with the ecu you have now since it's chipped

 

ehh im already picking up an itr ecu today. would it matter if it was an obd1 itr ecu or no??

 

i saw this problem one other time and it ended up bein a distibutor changing computers shouldnt have it die at 3k i had a h22 swapped civic i ran on a ctr computer for a month untill my aem came in and it was fine not perfect but i was able to drive it around

 

the car has a brand new distributor. it doesnt die at 3k it starts to bogg out then goes
