Im going to be swapping a JDM ITR motor into a JDM 97 civic,it came stock with a b16.

Can I run the ITR motor from the P2T ecu?or do I need a hondata.I can get a s200 but will it run ok just by plugging it in?

The itr motor will run with the p2t ecu, but it won't run properly & you risk running the motor lean etc.

Your best bet is to buy an obd2 to obd1 jumper harness & a chipped obd1 ecu.

You do NOT need hondata, your paying for software that can be free with other brands ie CROME Uberdata etc.

ok so I get a chipped OBD1 ecu and a OBD1-obd2 harness

Is it possible to get a ecu chipped and mapped by someone without them having to tune it on the car?and it still run decently with out me chancing blowing up my motor?

Im only going with a ITR motor with minor boltons.

yes. A base map or a pretune from another car will run great.
I have a bin for an ITR with bolt-ons. it was tuned with h/i/e

wow! of all the great things you have said over the years, thats not one of them.

Although i agree with the business part, crome is not ****. Maybe to the unfimilliar hand it gets a strict judgment.

The business like the product is pointless, Only fools buy hondata. hondata and all its expensive products can go kick rocks.

over the years i have experienced many things that change my opinions with all the different managements i have used.

Crome was great when the support was there but its pointless to "purchase" pro when you will rarely get updates or bug fixes. I would rather not put my money towards someone who is not interested even though i do own the pro version. eCtune is a fraction more than crome with real support and gets updated regularly. Same with Neptune.

I agree that hondata is expensive but that does not negate the fact that their product works well. I would never, personally, purchase a hondata product. If i am going to spend that much on management, i will go with a standalone unit.

Ive yet to try ectune or have even seen its HID. so i cant speak abou tit, although i hear many great things. I have not tried neptune either. uberdata 1.7 and Crome are all I have used. never really had any bugs, or at least somthing that i couldnt not tweak.

have any HID pics of ectune?
