I dont see myself driving some POS SUV for 3-4 months and paying insurance on it. I bought S2k to drive it and it doesn't matter if its summer or winter...it sure is more fun in snow. Recently bought 1 season used 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 Blizzark LM-60s for $250 shipped.

where do u live? and it's not just the "snow" it's all the terrible drivers and pot holes and broken pavement and salt chunks launched at your car and other things. midwest winters (Chicago ESPECIALLY) beat the living **** out of cars. get a winter beater and drive the S from late march through early november

You can pick up a really nice jeep for around 2-3000 ive scene nicer ones cheaper
They have no value after awhile even if they are in good shape and they are beasts

hell, even my winter beater looks like hell underneath for only being in PA for a couple of years. when i bought it in washginton, clean and just about rust free underneath, then drive it around for a 3 winters in PA, ***** rusted beyond belief.
i guess its just my personal preference. you could always get teh car undercoated. i don't think it adds too much weight.. oh well i wont have to worry about it anyways i'll have more than enough power in spring for the extra 50-100 lbs of undercoat
the S i bought was used had already had one engine replaced some of the front end resprayed and the rear diff went out 400 miles after i gave the guy the check. needless to say i've invested plenty of money into mine, know its never going to be a show car and am comfortable enough where i can be ok with a little surface rust under the chassis and my paint cracks and chips on my front cover.

The CR front would make a poor snowplow in anything but a light dusting of snow. Your better off with a beater car for winter, save the nice sports car for better weather.
