FINALLY solved skunk2 manifold probs..pics..
yeah, mystery solved. turns out the throttle body gasket that manchester honda sent me was for a 97-98 b20b, whereas my b20z throttle body was from a 99-00. THIS was the cause of my miraculous vacuum leak, not the skunk2 manifold, not the manifold gasket. impressions are...definately feels like it's breathing better all through the power band. it's actually worthwhile to rev up to redline now..it pulls strong all the way up, rather than falling on it's face after 6k. i'll find out the real improvements when i take it back to the little 1/8 track this thursday. here's some pics of the installed mani..enjoy.
Nice job on the install...glad to hear that you fixed the problem. Did you have any clearance issues with the fpr and the throttle cable and bracket?

a friend of mine will be dynoing his b20b /skunk2 IM in 2 weeks. he dynoed the b20b w/LS IM a month ago. this session will include tuning, so he hopes to get some good numbers. i'm sure he will chime in here soon.
good to hear...i'm closely waiting for your post because i have a skunk2 manifold too that I will have to install in a couple of weeks...

it's not too hard, just ask if you can't figure something out.
i can't wait to run it...i'm really bad at drag racing, but at least then i'll know how much an improvement is made.

Glad to see that everthing is working out great. get some cams bro then that thing will really be breathing better. 62403 or 62404.

Looks good man. i also had to bend the fuel return line on the fpr for it to clear the manifold, and the throttle cable is a little harder to adjust since the fpr is in the way, but nothing too tough
Thanks for your help on my swap. i finally got it running, and just got rid of the codes today....too bad i have to drive like a granny for 500 miles

So did manchester honda send you the wrong gasket or did you order the wrong one? I'll go over there for ya and bonk them all on the head, I know most of the people there.
whats better for N/A , SKunk2 or JG/Edelbrock intake manifold?
hey i think i know who you are. did nate put that b20 in your hatch. and your friends with champ and sprinkle. if thats you i was up at sonneys when you and champ came up there
when i talked to jeff at manchester, i just ordered the b20 throttlebody gasket. i had no idea the 97-98 gasket was different than the 99-00 gasket, but after we figured out it was the tb gasket i was pretty sure that's what happened. it would have saved me a hundred bucks labor if jeff had said, "is that for a 97-98 or a 99-00. i had my old b20 tb gasket laying around, so i installed it and the prob was fixed. to make it up to me jeff is sending me a 99-00 tb gasket. yay. please give him a good bonking.
yup, that's me. my car was up at nate's shop for a few weeks..he installed the motor at no charge.
