Default Radiator Fan Stays on W/O direct Wired?

92 civic si hatch, all origianl except resistor box, and the starter is grounded on its on wire to ignition, how the car was bought, My question/Problem is,...

When the car ignition is in the on position the fan stays on, but the harness is untouched and un-modded except the box/and starter ground,And a 3bar gm map that the previous owner use the original map wires for. No cel , No blow fuse inside or under hood.

I recently re-installed my horn and didn't ground it and blew the horn/broke it, befor the fuse popped???

Help me pls. Thanks

have you traced the wires to see where the fan is ran to? they could have it ran straight to the ignition switch making it stay on as soon as u turn the key in the on position. look under the dash and steering column and fuse box to see any extra wires that could be ran to the fan. they may have bypassed the regular fan switch because it was shorting out or not working.

No it's factory wiring because if I Pull the fuse for the fan inside the car it shuts down. Same story under the hood.

Thanks i got 2 , but thanks for the help and advice because the wire that gos to the housing is all tapped up like its been modded or tapped into but there is no extra wire's. The harness ground to starter is also disconnected and will not start the car if the wire is attached to starter.

I will try changing the fan switch because my car never over heats but the fan running 24/7 is not a bad idea i know , i would just like to get wiring as close to stock as possible so its easy in the future to check and fix and cel code things.

plus i like the fact that i might need to change any little sensor and can find my way around the car/ motor.

Thanks everyone for your help and thanks honda-tech for your dedication to people. i will keep you posted.....................

I would rather have a radiator fan that is always on vs. a radiator fan that has issues coming on.

YEAH , this is true, But when i went to check the switch for the fan, it had a small wire in the sensor clip acting like a jumper, plugged it back in and no more fan always on. So now i got to see if the fan kicks on.

That is what I was thinking it was jumped, but that might of been there to cover up another issue.

Yes i know , so i tested the fan, let the car warm up and no overheat when the fan kicked on after 10min of running at normal temps seating in my drive way. So the fan switch is ok and fully functional...

Now i got to figure out why my car won't crank over with the original starter ground from harness plugged in , the starter has it' own ground now and all other wires are stock, my next step.

Any ideas... And try to guess why the previous owner cut the clutch switch wires. OOOOO .. Maybe because of the turbo timer they had that i removed.

Thanks all for the help....
