Default H2b race car q's. min required

hi, i'm planning my next race car project and have a question,

i'm going to be building a complete rolling spaceframe chassis for my f20b, in my current car i run a h series gearbox but have trouble shifting from 2nd to 3rd, so was thinking about using a b series gearbox, this would help with both @wheel power and aftermarket support.

as i'll be making my own wishbones etc what is the bare essentials that i need to do this, i know i'd need a h2b adapter plate to mount box, can i use prelude axles or do i need to run b series shafts and hubs? can i make a shaft using "b" inners and "h" outers to use lude hubs?

sorry for all the q's but i'm a little unsure on this.

Thanks Adam

Have you read the H2B FAQ?

just been through it all mate. from what i can gather i just need a qsd adapter plate and flywheel spacer. (if i can buy them without rest of kit) then if i buy the hubs, axles and gearbox from say a dc2 itr.

are all the inner & outer axle sizes / splines the same on any b series?
i wont be running any ancillaries from engine and will fab up motor mounts to suit chassis.

are all b series boxes rod change instead of cable?

I am totally inexperienced with cable clutch operated b-series transmissions, so I cannot help you there. However, regarding the hydraulic clutch operated B-series transmissions all share the same inner spline count and diameter. All brake knuckle/wheel hubs share the same outer spline count except the JDM integra type R.

You will hear others refer to these hubs as "36mm", but they are not 36mm. The size of the axle nut is 36mm. I am assuming that these share the spline count of the accord, but I haven't tested this to confirm.

hmm interesting. i wonder if i used these then maybe i could use my prelude hubs. were the 96, 97 jdm integra type r's the bigger aswell or just the 98 >.

thanks for your input mate.
