Default Stroked and boosted b18c

Anybody know what cr I should shoot for? I plan on doing a crower stroker kit (2.3L), b16a head, 1mm oversized valves, jrsc (8psi), not sure on the cams.

We have to know what cams and what fuel, on the supercharger will it be pretty much a stock install or are you going to mess with the drive pulley diameter? Air inlet temps can play a big part in what your max static compression ratio should be as well. The huge part is how well do you trust the tuner who is going to make it all work for you? Do you have the injector flow rates for us? If you run out of injector duty cycle it can be bad juju for you.

Well im new to the boost stuff. I dont know what cams I need, I plan on running 93 octane, maybe 110 every now and then. Its gonna be a daily, and I drive quite a bit. I have honata, I have no idea where/who to get to tune it. Im not even sure if any one tunes around here that tunes..

Ive got a bet with my brother, he says no matter what I do to this car (00 em1), it will never out run a bone stock 2011 gt mustang. As far as boost, I dont know too much. But mechanically I can do bout anything, I run a garage for a living.

After you said this your whole thread just degraded itself to a pipe dream. Punctuated by the fact you seem to not know what you need to actually perform your build which is stemming from the fact that you have no goal other than to beat a Mustang.

Maybe someone else can correct me if I am wrong, but don't you want low compression if you plan on boosting?

Yes you do. Otherwise your tune has to be 150% perfect. This is one of those posts created with the belief that you can just keep stacking horsepower on top of horsepower. They want to build a high compression N/A motor and THEN throw boost on top of that thinking they'll have a monster engine build. You can't run a lot of boost on high compression engines.

...so nobody else noticed the 2.3L STROKER KIT for a B18C?

I know you're new to this, so let me be the first to tell you that a 2.3L stroker B18C isn't happening...not without some sort of deck extender plate with literally longer/taller cylinders/sleeves.

That's why I said it was a pipe dream. He's just naming off stuff that he thinks will get him a monster horsepower engine. He's picking the BIGGEST numbers he can find and just tossing them together.

Grumble, I know I cant build a 12:1 motor, do the boost thing and have a monster. Thats what im tryin to learn, what cr to shoot for just runnin 6-8lbs, the motor has 8:1 cr now, I didnt feel like that would be enought boost. But again thats why im here is to try to learn some bout this ****.

Show me a link to this 2.3L B18c stroker kit please, thanks. Also you CANNOT build a Honda that hasn't already been built yet. You chose the wrong platform to build if you wanted to be "different."

Okay, okay so what set-up do you have right now that's got the CR down to 8:1? Stock CR on a B18C1 is 10:1 USDM/10.6:1 JDM B18C/SiR-G/GS-R.

87mm!!!

Do you know what is required to achieve 6mm larger bore size than factory? This is far from an all-inclusive "kit" my friend.

...not only that, but the stroke would be 95mm!

Neither of these specs would be conducive to boost of any kind. The R/S ratio will suck for revving, and 87mm bore would leave zero room for rebuilds if/when you blow it up.

You need to spend that money (that you'd send on the stroker kit) on a better turbo set-up and tuning.

...and beating a stock Mustang GT?! Really?

So what should I do bout bottom end? Just leave it stock stroke? should I keep these pistons?

Not always. Most of the time people do drop the comp, but you don't have to.

My buddy's SFWD integra was 10.5:1.

You need a good tuner, that knows his ****, or you could be in some trouble.

Lol I completly missed the 2.3L part.

WTF is 6-8lbs? That doesn't mean anything.
My advice is to stop posting NOW. Go over to the Forced Induction forum and start reading. Start with the FAQs and actually READ something. Otherwise you can keep posting here under the guise of trying to "learn something" & "be different" and continue to make a fool of yourself.
