Default 91 Integra 1st gear lag on acceleration

I searched, and couldnt find any direct answers.
Lots of threads like mines, but either there was no updates, or they replaced parts I already replaced and the car was good.
Im Going to try and be as specific as possible.
The car is a 91 integra with a b20b.
Whats happening Is on first gear, Ill take off from a stop light and itll lag a couple seconds while going then out of nowhere, itll get some power back.
But the whole first gear powerband is crap, itll miss randomly a couple times while accelerating.
The thing is, it happens only after its at operating temperatures.
While its cold, the car has more power but there still is a problem, ill take off in first and it bucks at every takeoff.
Ive repaced the oxygen sensor, fuel filter, spark plug wires, ignition timing is at spec and mechanical timing is too.
Im trying to see if anyone has ever had similar situations, or know what it could possibly be.
Thanks for the help HT.
And sorry if I dont make any sense.

UPDATE: New coil, main relay, cap and rotoe, spark plugs, wireset, and ignition timing and mechanical set to spec.
Definately smoother, but still slightly there.

Just spray some NOS on 1st gear and problem solved!
Im kidding. But I'm on the same boat as you bro. I got a gsr and it doesnt pick up as strong as it used to. I got an unknown oil leak but I'm not sure that will make it lose torque thru gears.

I would check the ECT sensor, maybe your running rich, pull the plugs and inspect them to see if your running rich.

Coil, ICM and PGM-FI Main Relay are all susceptible to heat failure, [will work fine when cold but not once warmed up] may be worth switching them out with known working units just to test them. 94

Ill check the plugs next time i go to work cuz I dont keep tools at my house. But last time I checked em, I was running kinda lean.

Is it possible to test them with a multimeter and get an accurate reading even though its only happening when its warm? I work at a parts store and we sell oem honda parts, but I dont wanna buy things if I dont need to. Tight budget.

Put a wideband on there and what ecu/ems are you using?

Wish I could afford a wideband lol.... Im using the stock obd0 pr4.
I just checked the plugs and its a perfect golden brown color.
So I guess fuel aint the issue?
I was driving today and it really seems like its bogging at first for a second when i push on the gas from a stop. Like it goes, but suuuuper slow then it picks up, but it still feels like its not at its full potential.
Also while its going i notice while the rpms climb, its kind of bucking.

Try a chipped ecu with a ls basemap. I have seen a stock b20 run like **** on a ls ecu but run extremely well on a chipped ecu with a ls map.

Ya I have always heard about fuel being an issue, but I checked my plugs and im not running lean. I closed up my FITV valve and it seems a little better suprisingly. I wasnt even trying to close it for that reason.

Ok changed out the coil with a brand new one, new ngk wires, new ngk v power spark plugs, and new cap and rotor with brass terminals and it runs SOOO much better and smoother. But i still do notices a little lag. Definately not as bad as it used to be but its still there.

So today I was driving around, stopped to get a bite to eat, pulled over and shut my car off. I sat in the car for about 8 minutes, then went to start it back up. First all the dash lights stayed on including the CEL. Then the car didnt want to start up. Tried cranking once, nothin. Right away a second time and nothin again. Waited 20 seconds and it fired up.
Came to the conclusion it was the main relay.
So my question is: Is it possible the main relay had something to do with the missing on acceleration while driving this whole time??
I did read its possible, but i need to kno if it is or not.
because i thought it just controls fuel delivery on start up.

I dont believe the relay is the issue. REPLACE YOUR FUEL FILTER.
I had the same problem and it occurs from time to time. But as soon as i replaced the FF the response went back to normal; under any condition.

The problem minimized and i dont have that himiliating hesistation in the middle of the road... Im still trying to eradicate the rare occurance when it does do it to me, but Good Luck. I'd like to see others' responses.

The fuel filter had already been replaced and i never run it low on fuel.

New main relay did not fix the miss on acceleration. Or the lag on acceleration. So so far:
New relay, new coil, newish fuel filter, ignition timing set, mechanical timing at spec, new plugs wires and cap&rotor, the last thing I could think of it being is an injector or the ICM (ignitor)

Will I noticed I advance my timing a lil with the service connector jumped, and itll run perfect. But when I shut it off, and go drive again, it acts up again but its not as bad. What would cause, what feels like the ignition timing is resetting itself?

Your cat is bad. While under low pressure(from the engine) its either clogged or just bad but when u increase pressure(gas) it is able to push through and make some power.

But i mean what would explain the fact that when I advance the timing, it works better? Then the timing resets itself. Im jumping the service connector.

i had the exact same issue with my b20b swapped da. advanced timing to 20*btdc and the surging/bucking only occurred once in awhile afterwards. it's likely a fueling issue. the b20b is gonna run slightly lean on a pr4. heard of many others with the same issue on their b20b swaps. adjustable fpr set at 50psi usually solves it. or, from what i've heard, if staying non-obd, a dohc zc pcm works best with a non-obd b20b. little hard to find though. just get the fpr, a gauge, and set it. since it seems the issue is helped with the timing advance, it makes sense that it would be the issue here
