remove the oil restrictor out of the y7 head, use a6 head studs. Im not 100% on what cam gear to use, or if the distributor aligns properly.

There might be better write ups on this on d-series.org

the y7 head will have an oil restrictor located in the upper center of the deck surface,

the restrictor is on the A6 block ,

having two restrictors is bad.

the problem with all this and none of you seem to notice is that the y7 head uses a different intake mainifold the a6 one will not bolt up to it
if you want to use a y7 head you'll need a d16y7 intake mainifold

and you use the y7 timing belt with the y7 head

are you sure on the t-belt
and the a6 intake bolts up fine ;P but either way i have to get the y7 one cuz the intake was on the head when they stole it

DON'T get a y7 one it won't work unless you switch a few thing on the throttle body and its a pos intake

Go with a a6 z6 or y8 or skunk2 d series intake don't waste your time trying to make the y7 work

Also I think you need to mix/match y7 and a6 headstuds, I know you do for z6's

There was another post recently kinda similar but Pretty sure you need the Y7 timing belt 104 teeth as Marcos said, compare to the a6 which is 107. Also you'd use the Y7 gear so it matches the cam not a a6. The crank pulley from the y7 might be needed aswell.

If all your other lines are hooked up and it's a extra, you can hook it up to a catch can.
