siR or acura xsi?
I was just woundering how to tell if i have a siR or acura xsi, engine tranny and ecu?
There are pr3 stamps om my engine, and one more thing how to tell what type of ecu i have?

PR3 is from integra Xsi. PW0 are from crx/civic SiR.
tranny...looks for the stamp (s1, j1, y1)
ecu.....says on the side (PR3 or PW0). PR3s are more common.

you should be looking for the engine code that is stamped into the front of the block, this is a 7 digit number. if it begins with a 1, it is an XSI motor. if it begins with a 5, it is an SIR. sideways carlton.

PR3 is EF8 CR-X SiR & EF9 Civic SiR
PW0 is XSi Integra. you've got them reversed. the serial number underneath engine code stamped on the block tells you where it came from. If it starts with a 1 it came out of a XSi/RSi....if it starts with a 5 it came out of an SiR CR-X or Civic.

I got my b16a out of an integra xsi frontclip....it came with S1 transmission and a PR3 ecu...plus the 7 digit code on the block stamp begins with a 1. The SiR comes with the PWO ecu.
