help me identify mysterious brown poop liquid in engine bay...
I'm at a loss for words lol. yesterday i opened my hood to find a weird poo/sewage smelling brown liquid by my drivers side headlight, on the underside of the hood, and on the driver side motor mount as well. i cleaned it up thinking i must have somehow ran over something.. idk... I pop the hood tonight to find the exact same thing!
I have a built b20, doesn't leak any oil, coolant, etc. there is no fluid anywhere other than the place listed nothing on the valve cover, radiator, anywhere. I am stumped. included is a pic to kinda show what i am dealing with.

I forget what it is called but I know the factory mounts are liquid-filled, eventually they wear down and rupture like that. Mine sprayed on the other side

wait really??? huh i thought you were crackin a joke about where it was coming from. i am going to have to check that out in the morning but honesltly that would make sense. its not coming from any part of the motor like the valvecover or headgasket so i will look tomorrow and find out for sure
lol yeah I was for real, my driver side motor mount blew out that poop too and I can tell its gone bad (when jacking up the front of the car I can see the engine sort of bounce)
thats really weird.. i have never seen hydraulic fluid get that color or smell so bad. it must have gotten water in it somehow and slowly just gotten nasty. it has to be that there is no way its coming from any other part of the car. damn thanks i think i actually have an extra one layin around in my garage too.

it's sprayed everywhere because every time the engine puts load on the mount, it squirts out of the mount under pressure

makes sense now. i was unaware civic motor mounts were filled with anything i always thought they were solid rubber. looks like i will be replacing that motor mount in the next couple days. thanks a lot for the help guys i was under the suspicion that someone was secretly taking ***** in my engine bay

sorry, couldn't resist......................
Jack up your motor and rip that mount off looks like grease. check for cracks tears etc.
had a b20v eg do that to me but on the rear mount.
