I'm putting a 99 b16a2 into a 99 coupe ex that of course had a d16y8 for a customer. He said everything was included in his kit he bought off ebay but I noticed only his D series rear T bracket. No biggie, I have a rear T bracket from a gsr so I'll just use that.... WRONG!! it's WAY too long.

So am I correct that I need a b16 bracket? do I have to get the 99-2000 si bracket? or will any b16 one work?

Correct the b16 bracket is the only one that works.

I thought about modifying the D series one to make it work but it won't....

It is no secret that ek b swaps NEED the Si rear bracket and drivers engine mount post

 

I know of them for sale on ebay. Brand new oem.

They already had the driver's side bolted up when I got it so they must have the right one... how would I know if it's wrong?

 

and I've only touched an ek once before with a y7.... not a huge fan of the setup.
