OK...i now have proof that my car is retarded. When i hit my brakes my open door and my seatbelt lights come on. And on top of that it starts beeping like it does when my door is open...just cause i HIT MY DAMN BRAKES!!! Its the most annoying thing ever. I have a brake light and a headlight out...i doubt that has anything to do with it but im just giving you all the info on the car. I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS FIXED...i deliver pizzas so im in my car all the time and its driving me ******* insane. What is causing it and more importantly...HOW DO I FIX IT??? I think that they accidently put a 74 pinto ECU in my car when they made it...but i dont know
Thanks for the FAST(hint hint) responses.

sounds like one of your tail lights has the wrong bulb in it and is allowing voltage to back feed into the rest of the circuit.

go ahead and do that engine swap and it'll fix all your problems.
well, maybe not, but you'll be having too much fun to notice stuff like that. lol

Sounds to me like you've got a "Short Circuit".. Example, "I honked my horn and my left window goes down." So what seems to be happening is that you've got a Hot to Hot Short Circuit. Meaning, the hot wire from the Brake Pedal Switch seems to be contacting the hot wire to the Open Door and Seatbelt cluster lights.
What I would do first is check all your fuses like everyone else said. And since you said that you've got a Brake and Headlight out, I'd try and replace those too.. Because a buddy of mine had somewhat of the same problem and ended up being a blown fuse and bulb.
Anyways, if replacing the fuses and bulbs don't help, let me know. I'll try and give you a better way to test the circuit and find the Hot to Hot Short.

Well heres the low down. Today i went and replaced all the bulbs that i could. I couldnt get the brake light out that is blown because it is corroded to the damn socket. I now have to get a new headlight and taillight socket. The reason that he brake light went out is that water got into my taillight and shorted it out. Well the only way i could get the lghts to work is by putting a thirty amp...thats right THIRTY AMP fuse in there. It hasnt blown yet but im afraid that it might mess something up. Will it? Im in the process of getting a new socket for both of them so it will be fixed soon..hopefully. Any other suggestions or comments are MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

LOL, could that really happen, or are you just being sarcastic?

Maybe it could happen if your car has power windows!

car is retarded to much, try advancing it!
Sounds like a rat ate some wires and crossed them over.

That's why you're never suposed to use a larger fuse than the recomended amperage.
step one: get the proper amperage fuse in there
step two: get that corroded socket out of there
step three: start tracing the wires from the brake light switch to the light to see if it's melted anywhere.
I would recomend not using the car until you get this fixed. If your wires are still heating up they could catch fire and you will no longer have a car.
