2005 TL wont start up
I am having issues with the wife's car. Went to fill it up on empty and tired to start it up.. no luck WTF!!?? all lights and dash are on and no signs of weak dimming when trying to start car. I tried a couple times more and it started up no problem so all fingers point to the starter. Strange though when on a cold start it starts up fine. What do you guys think?
Also would be great if someone could help with info on how to rebuild the starter for this type of model car. I have rebuilded 2 starters so I dont know what to expect from this car. Is it the same concept as any starter? Which parts would I need to rebuild it instead of replacing it. Thanks so much for your guys inputs.

Starters are pretty much the same regardless of make or model of car, so rebuilding shouldnt be an issue for you. Ive also had issues with starters in Hondas/Acuras while they were hot, after waiting a few minutes they would usually crank. Never could figure out wh
If it's not turning over, then it's either the solenoid in the starter or the main relay.
If it is turning over, then it's something else.....cam or crank position sensor, fuel pump, or fuel pump relay.

Sorry for the late update... Went ahead and purchased a starter from advance auto for $104 with special discount Ba-BAaMMM. Fixed!!
Ps. Didn't want to tear it down and repair.. Thanks for your inputs!!
