My steering column is not straight? Help
1996 Civic Coupe EX Y8
Im not sure if its called the steering column since the car drives perfect but its the plastic piece that has the turn signals and wipers? Its skewed to the right so when i put the top cover it wont close due to the turn signal stick hitting it.
As you can see its skewed to the right, how can I turn this straight?

What exactly do you mean by splined? What do I replace for a new one, the whole steering column? or just that piece? If so what is it called?
It's called a multi function switch. Splined means that it is held in place by splines. Take a look at a shop manual and it will tell you how to get the steering wheel off. Probably want to disable your airbags while in this area.

The black piece that has the wipers and turn signal can be put straight by removing the two screws from the metal piece thats crooked. Its that metal piece that needs to be replaced?
Okay but replacing the steering wheel wont do anything, to my understanding whats crooked is the metal piece in which the wipers and turn signal attach to.

Okay sorry, but like I said the black thing with the wipers and turn signal is not whats bended but, instead it's the metal piece that's it's screwed to. The black thing can be pot on straight by removing the screws. Therefore it's that metal piece that is the problem, wouldn't a steering column bring that metal piece so I can just attach the black thing and steering wheel?
you will need to replace the whole assembly. go to a junkyard and find a steering column that looks straight.it has like 6 screws to remove the whole thing. takes about 20 minutes...
