I have a 94 ej1 coupe with cruise and i wanted to keep the cruise control after i installed my quick release. I am pretty sure that the #6 pin on the harness is for the horn and was curious if anyone knows what the cruise pins are on a ej1 harness that has abs and airbags? Thanks for your time.

 

nobody done this yet? no write up anywhere? been searching the interweb. i guess i could just do a continuity test but my leads aren't long enough ( thats what she said) really?

 

How do you plan on replacing the two buttons you need to operate the cruise control after you activate it? THAT'S why no one has a write up. I found I never used it any way.

 

you can get push buttons from radio shack/fry's to replace the honda buttons. I like cruise control and i plan on keeping it. I've seen pictures of it done but no write up. I was going to do a write up on it but it looks like there is no interest. Thanks

Did you not read my cruise control install write up?! Honestly. Read it and you can figure out on your own whether it will work for you. You'll need to have a clock spring for it to work on your st. wheel, otherwise there are some ideas in there for alternatives (posted by other users underneath).

 

Thanks for the link De. I am keeping my cruise but I am not keeping it on my steering wheel so I shouldn't need the clockspring. I should be able to wire the switchs directly to the 6 pin yellow harness like the stock buttons were connected but wiring them directly (My clockspring was connected to a six pin connector under the dash). I should be able to wire the buttons without the clockspring since they won't be on the steering wheel. In theory there shouldn't be too much wiring involved. I should be able to hook up the clock spring and check continuity between the buttons and the six pin connector. Ill post if I figure anything out. thanks again.
