Default Cruise controll install in a non cruise control chasis

So I have a base model ek hatch, I am modifying it however I am adding in a few of the options I would like to keep from dailying my RSX over. So I am installing ac and cruise control. Who has installed cruise control into a car that's never had it?

You need to post car information, which is required for all tech threads.

why would you want to install a cruise control module thats not made for your car? Why not go to the junkyard and grab the cruise control vacuum regulator, pedals, cc module, steering wheel srs reel, and cruise control buttons?

Precisely what I was asking, maybe I made a bad OP, I apologize. I have a 1998 Civic DX. Does not have cruise control or any of the components in the chassis for it. What all will I need? Does the "NON CC" accelerator pedal only have one ring for the original throttle cable or does it have two as well? I believe I should have a lot of the other misc parts from a couple parts cars. I just never have set up a CC unit before.

I clearly posted EK, DX hatch? What more is needed for my question? Thanks for all of your assistance, always a blessing to hear from the HT police about nothing.

It's ok Ron, the rest of us know what you're talking about. Hopefully he has fun installing CC on his EK

A moot point. Process for installing cruise on any LHD 6th Gen is effectively the same, regardless of EK/EJ chassis code.

This is a prime example of why proper chassis codes are important in the tech section. Just to be clear, you don't have an EK. You have an EJ6. There are many BIG differences.

Yes, because an EK3, EK9, EJ6, and EJ8 will all use the same parts and procedures. Oh wait, no they won't!

My mistake....I actually read it as you wanting to swap over the cruise control from the RSX. Yes its possible to install cc into the hatch.
