Icon6 Building my B18A1 to hold 15-18 PSI

Hey everyone,
Now that winter time is coming in Chicago it is time to finally build my motor. I have my del Sol turboed on a stock B18A1 right now. I am looking for some advice on building it to hold 15-18 PSI when raced and 12 PSI daily driving. In spring I would like to have the project finished and vtec as well. Can someone please point me in the direction of the building process and what I need to buy as far as compression, bore, rod length, etc. This would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I was told to look into CP pistons. Is this a good choice?

you could hold 12psi where you sit. 18psi you'll need at least headstuds, rods, and pistons in my opinion. If you post your setup it would be helpful.

The reason I am building my motor is because the rings are far from shot. It is time to build it, I am loosing a lot of compression.

forged pistons, rods, head studs, free flowing exhaust, and the most important good tune...

Find a b16 head and a golden eagle ls/vtec kit (easy way), cp pistons at 9-1 comp, eagle or any major forged rods really, tune it on e85 and done. Assuming your current fuel setup and turbo are good for it.

If you replace the pistons, it would be prudent to do the rods at the same time.

A simple build.
forged pistons
stock LS rods with ARP bolts
LS or GSR Crank all balanced
head studs
a block guard is not to bad of an idea
Should hold nicely with a good tune but I would not try to push more than 400whp on this. For more power forged rods and sleeved block will be a must.

LS Crank /Rods or GSR Crank/Rods, you don't want to put GSR rods on an LS Crank.
