Just picked up a 08 LX sedan, and I'm looking for a little info on the motor. I'm not much of a Honda guy so I'm a little lost and my online research isn't helping. When I bought the car I assumed I was buying a 1.8 SOHC much like the 04 1.7 DX I owned but doing a little reading I've heard the term i-Vtec being tossed around in reference to any of the 06+ non Si Civic's, is my car i-Vtec and I'm guessing if so it's not true Vtec so what excatly is it. I've driven true Vtec cars is the past, DOHC and SOHC, this doesn't feel like it. I didn't buy the car for performance but for reliability and fuel economy, although the Si I took out for a test drive really made me question that lol.
