Default Where is fuel pump fuse located???

The chilton says to disable the fuel system by removing the fuel pump fuse. And then it says see chapter 4 but there is nothing is chapter 4 that says anything about a fuel pump fuse. I checked the fuse boxes in the engine compartment and under the dash but no fuel pump fuse..

Hmm, thought the fuel pump was the main relay which is what supplies power the the fuel pump. It is designed that way, so if power is ever cut, the relay turns off, stopping fuel from flowing....important if ever in an accident

It is usually behind the glove box

You MUST provide all pertinent information about your car and engine. Failure to do so may result in thread closure.

Look below the driver side dash. There is a fuse panel there. Look on the inside of the removable fuse panel to see which fuse is associated to the fuel pump. You can remove it with pliers if you don't have a fuse puller.

None of those fuses are associated with the fuel pump.

If I cut power then I wont be able to perform the compression test. I have to have power and have my fuel system disabled.
