Default is having my car too low bad for shocks?

I bought some brand new function and form type 1s and i was wondering if i slam my car too low, will there be too much stress on the shock causing it to blow? with the f&f type 1s, i notice you adjust the height by twisting the strut, not by the springs. so i would assume it doesn't stress the strut but im not sure. Can someone tell me? right now my front of the car is about almost 4 inches from the ground (i have a lip). the back tires are barley tucked. thanks.

The shocks, if designed to handle 3"+ of drop, should be fine. How long is the question. Stock shocks and LOWering springs = shock failure. I'm not an expert on brands, longevity, etc.

Lowering a car too much can mess with the car's suspension geometry, causing it to react very badly during simple day-to-day operations.
