obd0 should have the lights on the ecu.

the cel wont flash. obd0 will flash on the ecu pull back the carpet and a red light will flash

Is your engine swapped? If it is, service plug could be disconnected from the ecu.

I've heard cases were some obd0 engines won't display the engine light. Service plug is still looped, just won't have the engine light come on.
