Default Please help! Purge Solenoid Problem

OK guys here is what I got. Recently just purchased a 91 CRX SI with a d16z6 swap. It runs like crap but I figured it shouldn't take that much work to get it running right. Its really driving me nuts. It idles very odd, takes about 3 times for it to crank over. The MAP is correctly plugged on the TB. I noticed that on the intake manifold, there is a purge solenoid attached, and the vacuum line from it is connected to another purge solenoid on the CRX firewall. I'm guessing that its not correct?! I should only have one right? My concern is that the one attached to the TB has a plug running to it as well. Would I be able to get rid of the one attached to the TB and just leave the plug and focus on the firewall mounted solenoid or vise versa? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully will be able to attach pictures later when I can get my camera working.

Ok here is the pic...There is a purge sensor on the top right of the picture, which should be attached to the valve cover. One of the hoses, which should go right to the canister, goes to the other purge solenoid(which is plugged in as well) Not sure if this is suppossed to be like this. Someone please help, need to know if I need both or if I can unplug one of them. Thanks in advance

Bumping isn't allowed in this Forum - Read the RULES...

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/%2A%2A%2A-crx-ef-civic-technical-forum-rules-%7C-trial-user-info-%2A%2A%2A-2086185/

The top right of your picture isn't a sensor, it's a check valve for the brake booster - it looks to be hooked up properly.

Also, the only thing that should be hooked up to the valve cover is the air intake tube. Just like it is in the picture.

sry for the bump...that solenoid or check valve on the top right(just above the intake manifold) has a short hose that runs from the lower backside of the IM to the bottom of the solenoid, then has another hose that is ran to the bottom of that firewall mounted solenoid. kinda hard to tell from the picture because the vacuum line that connects the two between the two dips behind the IM. if its a check valve...do they usually have a plug for it? this one has a plug

there should only be one purge valve i eliminated the one on the firewall and extended the wires for the map and purge i used the ones on the intake manifold i think i may have changed the plug also

I missed it with my old eyes... it blended right in.

Yes - only run one of them... Either the one on the firewall or the one on the intake manifold - the choice is YOURS!
