I recently swapped an obd2 integra b18c1 into my hatchback and I'm using the harness from the obd1 dx civic. Is this going to work? I was told that it would work fine, just wire in the vtec, but there are more plugs on the civic harness than the integra motor has. Which plugs are not going to be used in this swap? I checked the faq section and searched but I found nothing that helped. Any info on this would be nice. Thanks!

 

You should really use the OBD2 Engine harness off the Integra. It will be 100% plug and play if you do. The OBD2 Integra harness splits at the shock towers just like your chassis does. You won't have to swap distributors, alternators, injectors, or anything else. You'll have to add wires for IAB, Knock, and VTEC. But still, that is way less work than trying to adapt the OBD1 harness.

 

Thanks for the response! But at the moment I only have the dx harness. I already converted the distributor and injectors, I just have no clue where these extra plugs are supposed to go.
