bad vtec wiring need Help
well i bought the car off some one and i guess they mikeymoused the wiring for the vtec cause its obd1 to the ecu pr3 but i think the connectors to the sensors are obd2 but i will take pic n show tomorrow
If the car itself is a GSR model, the Vtec wiring would already be there. The only time you would have to wire in vtec is if the car model is an ls, rs,etc...
Also what are you referring to as obd2? The 95 model is obd1.

see i dnt knw. do i need new wires cause the vtec dosent work. and i think the connectors for it r obd1. so should i get the vtec subharness kit or do something else.
You don't even need plugs. The solenoid can be wired straight to the ecu and on the pressure switch you can ground one wire right on the valve cover and wire the other straight to the ecu. The type of plug makes absolutely no difference in anything.
Isnt pr3 obd0? How do you know vtec isnt working? Gsr shoud be p72 or chiped obd1 ecu
its hooked up to my obd1 harness. but im gonna get a p72 ecu to see if tht my be it too. but tht pr3 is for a old school b16 sir i think. im gonna sell it anyway after i get this p72. i think its either the wiring or the ecu. so im gonna fix both n let u knw how it goes.
1.) Check the engine light codes
2.) Take a picture and post it
3.) There is no "sub harness"
4.) I would get an OBD-I P72 ECU, OBD-I wiring harness (should have two plugs connecting to the distributor; OBD-II has one larger plug)
5.) Make sure there's enough oil in the pan, and subsequently enough oil pressure for the VTEC solenoid to operate properly
6.) Make sure the VTEC pressure switch wire is connected, and the VTEC solenoid plugged in to the OBD-I Engine harness.
