Question on my 16a2 built turbo setup
my current setup
1999 Honda Civic Si " the blue one" lol
Tein Flex Coilovers
Built B16a2
5 spd with LSD
81.5 MM Wiseco Pistons
Eagle H beam rods
Micro polished Crank
Block was bored/hone/deck, vat cleaned
Arp Head studs
Supertech head internals
Stock cam gears
MS motorsports cam gears
Garrett T3/T4 A/R .60 trim
Ram horn turbo manifold- A/C compatible
Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump
Rc 450 injectors
MSD ignition
Hondata s300 tuning
Dyno tuned on dynojet w/ motect wideband a/f meter
320 whp at 12 psi conservative daily driver tune
3" downpipe to Full 3" mugen twin loop exhaust- no cats
I WOULD LIKE ABOUT 500 WHP FROM THE CAR, but i was told that this engine could only have a max of 400whp and be safe because its not sleeved. is this true?
Keep in mind its not sleeved or block gaurded
I bought the car as in its current setup 320 WHP with alot a invoices to show the work and shop that built the car and found after awhile that the turbo had an oil leak from the exhaust side: The car pulls hard and its quick
Compression is 145-150 across the block, i guess good for low compression
This past weekend i removed the long block and turbo setup to go over it all..
SO my questions are:
1- Rebuild the turbo, ADD skunk2 intake manifold, bigger injectors, fuel rail, re-tune and hope for my goal of 400 whp with a little more psi.
2-Is this turbo worth rebuilding ??????????? or replace
3- is this motor worth trying and get more power from??????
4- Or sell the longblock, trans, full turbo setup and everything that goes with if for someone else to drop in and go, and for me to start over with a 1.8 and build from there?????
ANY INFO WOULD HELP ME ALOT
THANKS GUYS IN ADVANCE
Just trying to get some options for 400whp or even better 500 whp

Youre not going to make 500whp on that turbo. And anymore than 400whp on pump gas is definatly playing with fire in regards too the sleeves....mine cracked at 385whp on pump. Others crack a little more and less its a gamble you would take...alot depends on the tune and type of gas youre using.
people make crazy hp on stock sleeves with e85 and race gas. On pump youre really pushing youre luck. Maybe youll be ok...maybe not?
but for 500whp youre not going to make even close to that with that turbo. Im suprised it even made 320 whp on 440 cc injectors ( although u say 450? rc doesnt make 450 did u mean 550cc?)
500whp youre going to want sleeves, bigger injectors, along with a bigger turbo. plain and simple
400whp youre good with that turbo...but you still need bigger injectors 750cc min. Then test youre luck maybe they wont crack...if not youll be posting up pictures of cracked sleeves wishing you did it in the first place....everyone has budgets though witch is understandable....if youre trying to save money just get bigger injectors and retune

Cool
Thanks guys for the info
Ended up sending the turbo of to get rebuilt and
Going to test it out when it gets done..
Then ordering
1000cc injectors
Skunk2 manifold
Re-tune with boost by gear
And hope for a safe 375-400 whp
