98 Civic EX - Removing old Tint and Applying New?
When I got my 98 Civic used, the tint was already getting old. Now, it's peeling off slowly by itself, so it's time to get some new.
What's the best way to remove old tint? Once peeled and scraped, what's the best cleaner to remove the adhesive residue in preparation for new tint? Alcohol? Ammonia? Plain ol' soap and water?
On the rear window, what advice to remove the tint, without removing the defrost lines? I know some people don't worry about the rear defrost, but I do rely on it.
I've never installed my own tint before. How difficult is it, and what obstacles am I looking at? Tips for proper application?

to remove the tint on the back without damaging your defrost lines is going to be really hard specially getting into the lower part of the window. and also if you've never done window tinting before i would recommend getting it done by a professional other wise prepare to go through AT LEAST whole role of tint (cost 200 - 300 a roll). requires a lot of skill to get the job done right. and trust me i speak from experience

i didnt even know they sold tint at autozone xp
butif you mean cheap tint in general vs good quality tint then
1.cheap tint is harder to install when you get to heat shrinking it.
2.it will bubble up/fade/turn purple faster hence doesnt last as long
3.idk but its just cheaper quality
