What's a good Accelerometer/Exhaust temp gauge?
Hey guys, I'm just getting into tuning and had a question or two on what stuff to get to monitor my changes. I live 2 hours from the nearest dyno and so I was wanting to purchase an accelerometer to use when tuning my own car. I realize it is not accurate but I think it would at least give me something to work with when tuning considering I have no access to a dyno as of now and I'm just starting out. I'm leaning towards a PLX wideband and I'm tuning with an S300 setup. My other question is what is a good exhaust temp gauge/sensor to get? I've been reading alot on tuning but now I just need some opinions!
Thanks in advance for any input!

If you want something a little simpler to wire and a little more modern than analog gauges, look into a dash datalogger that connects to your ECU. I just bought an AIM Pista which works with Kpro. PCS D200 makes one that works with AEM (I happen to have one for sale and includes an accelerometer
. You can get all your data on one screen (rpm, oil temp, pressure, water temp, etc) and later, you can look at the recorded data to see how the data changes overtime.

You know I think I saw some documention about how to use a Wiimote as such device.
you need a Wiimote, some software on your laptop and it capable of doing bluetooth connections... and some software, looks like some links are broken when I searched for it, but have at it.. Im sure you can find a cheep solution.

Yes definately looking for a fairly cheap solution, was hoping someone had experience with accelerometers and the like so I could get some opinions on what was accurate and consistent
