Second O2 sensor wire harness location.
I'm putting together a custom Random Technology cat for my 98 gsr sedan so i need to remove the rear o2. What's the best way to get to the 2nd O2 sensor wire harness?
It goes through the floor underneath and slightly forward of the stereo console, the wire has a rubber boot that keeps water from coming up the hole, and the cat is right underneath. You can probably see it if you get down on either driver or passenger side with a flashlight and look at the floor under the dash - center.

Thanks for the reply Mark. I've seen the rubber boot under the car. I'm just needing to know the easiest way to access the wire harness inside the car. So you say it's near the stereo area? Do i need to remove any interior parts to see it?
I don't think so, but it may be hidden under a flap of carpet.. I'd have to go peek again.
Once the wire is inside it has a 4 pin grey connector just line the #1 O2 sensor. I'm thinking it's hidden under/behind the carpet right where the floor turns up to the firewall?

I pulled back my passenger side carpet and made a slit. I was able to slide my hand in and free up some slack in the cable (under the radio area that connects to the 2nd o2 sensor plug).
Since then, I can go under the car and pull the o2 sensor's (water proof) boot, towards the cat, and the plug comes out through the floor. Then I can unplug it.
If you haven't had the o2 sensor off of the cat, in a while, I recommend that you remove the cat, inorder to remove the o2 sensor.

I changed mine by lifting the carpet up just slightly to the right of the gas pedal behind the center console. Very easy access. You will see the harness plug and everything right there.
