95 GSR exhaust/muffler opinions needed
I have a 95 GSR DB8 and I would really like to get a vibrant muffler.
I was looking at a vibrant muffler model # 1145
http://www.vibrantperformance.com/pressrelease20.php
I would really like to hear some opinions on who has this on thier Integra GSR. I want to replace my OEM one with this one for both performance and sound. I also want to have it because it keeps the fuzz off my back..I hope.
Pics and or video will be really appreciated.

Re: 95 GSR exhaust/muffler opinions needed
I have and they seem pretty good. I had some generic can and it was loud and droned more at constant speed than anything. I don't know if it even had any performance gain or anything but I took that junk off.
I know that Vibrant has been around for sometime but it seems they are coming back as it is a more discreet muffler than say Apex, Greddy, Mugen...
I just want to give it a nicer deeper sound within reason but not a fuzz magnet.

Are you thinking of just having a shop weld the muffler to your stock exhaust or going with bigger custom piping? I've been tempted to get it as well, but the YouTube videos make it sound pretty raspy. Even more tempted since ProjectImport is literarily down the street from my house and sells them for 100 bucks.
Need experienced owner of this muffler or exhaust system.

I'm on the same boat. My 01 GSR is still bone stock and I'm holding down the urge to do any sudden impulse buying on mods. The Apexi WS2 full exhaust is calling my name, but I don't know what direction to take my teggy.
Click here for the link to Projectimport's Vibrant mufflers. I couldn't find it on the actual site.

2.25 exhaust will sound ricey.
2.5 will sound deep and throaty. I got an ebay 2.5 for my B20v. Sound waay better than 2.25 rice.

Ricey.... Hey I like rice a lot.
As far a the muffler, I actually am looking for a specific sound regardless of how trendy or ricey it is. I want to achieve a specific "zing" if you will but not come off as an attraction to cops as soon as I start my car.
I don't want a shiny can but more of an OE look exhaust as to deter the fuzz.
I would really like to have an experienced owner chime in.
I have googled and searched you tube so please leave out the stupid "it took me 10 seconds to search this topic". If I wanted to make a guess based off what I already searched I would not have created this topic. I actually want to make a educated decision.
Thanks all. Please keep the help coming

Well, youtube is your best and only friend. We all have different views so if one says this, the other might not agree. Just like the idiot up there that said, "2.25in" is ricey. You want performance and sound so you have to do a lot of homework. My ITR B-pipe is real nice along with the muffler. I think its 2.36in but don't quote me. Nice OEM welds, with quality piping with a full resonator after the CAT and a small one right before the rear flange. I'm thinking of switching to a straight through muffler when I decide to do a 2.5in header.
****, and you're in Cali and you want loud and power. Better spend some dinero.

Mine isn't raspy like this. You want it louder than this? You have a stock motor?

Lol I actually want a nice sound out of it but not loud. Just a "zing". LOL
I am just running intake and headers an injen cold air intake. Going to drop in my S2 cams and gears after smog next year. Trying to stay legal. Not sure how much of a tune I can do without failing smog. But that's a different topic.

Lol oops. I meant "header".
Hey we both live in Cali. Being legal is hard but if you riding dirty people start to notice. Especially the fuzz.

Nice find for another member if interested!
Now here is a question.
Is it really worth getting the same size piping to match the piping for the entire exhaust? I mean that could be pricey.
