Please help

i unplugged the ECU and plugged it back again last night because the box was not properly mounted. However the check engine light came on today and after 30mils of drive it is still on....
does anyone know thats gonna be a problem?
if not is it posible to reset it my self?

oh and now key will not turn to lock position and stucked in the ignition....
i tried to reconnect the battery, then i did get rid of the check engine light but still cant turn the key to lock.... i dont want my car get stolen...

 

First off understand a cel indicates theres something wrong, id pull/read the code first before attempting to erase it

 

Have you tried pushing in the key before/while turning it? Check the CEL code and then report back.

 

You think the check engine light has made it so you can't remove your key from the car? lolz.

Why did you have your ECU unplugged again? Were you installing something, or just unplugged it for *****?

 

i didnot install anything.
the ECU box was't mounted to the wall, so i unplugged it to mount and plugged it back.

 

So....your car is OBDII....plug in a scanner and get the code.
