Hey guys, running into some issues with my crx climate control. It is stuck in the recirculate position and will not change to fresh air. I have 3 different climate controls, and all 3 are like this, recirculate only. It's not a huge deal as I prefer recirculated air, HOWEVER I want it to work properly.
I have already looked through the helms manual pages 15/6-15/24. If I hook up the motor directly it works as it should. To add to this, I have 2 sets of control box motors and both work when hooked up directly to a power source, but when selecting it from the climate control, it does not work.
If I put it into the fresh air position directly by hooking it up to the battery, and then via the climate control select recirculate, it will work as it should...
If you look at the diagram below you can see how the fresh/recirc. motor works when connected directly. The recirculate wire goes to pin 11 while the fresh air goes to pin 5 on the back of the climate control. Now just like the function control motor which is ground switch operated, it should have continuity at those pins, when the respective button is pressed, between that pin and pin 13. Now I get continuity between pin 11 and 13 on recirculate, but not between pins 5 and 13 when on fresh air.
I'm pretty stumped in trying to pinpoint where the problem lies, because clearly it's more than likely in the control where there are no blueprint schematics of the electronic control board. Does anyone else have this same issue, and have you fixed it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not yet, it will be going in the sedan soon though.
I've been learning about electronics lately, but this **** has me hella confused since the switches for the selection have 6 pins each on them. 4 of the pins are the same and actually have continuity between them, 2 are totally different, but I can't pinpoint where the problem lies.
The controls I have are not great condition, you might get away with a faceplate on one, the other is garbage, and the best one I fixed and am using. BTW, there is no "control box" for the CRX climate control, I'm sure you got that from that idiot gnxpro from the fs section. That box has nothing to do with the climate control. The wiring is direct from the control to the motors it doesn't integrate into any "brain" it's all just ground switched via the control itself.

fo sho, I haz them :p You're lucky you don't have cruise control, the CC brain mounts where the function control motor mounts.

That was the quickest I've ever gotten help and solved an issue on HT! Thanks to a great guy from the other side of the pond, it's now working

Regarding the cruise brain, I like everything to be as close to stock as possible, idk what I'm gonna do but I'm sure I will figure it out.
