Default sleeved b18

where is the best place to buy a sleeved b18c short block? nobody around here can sleeve mine for me. and is it worth the $? i race integras on a short track. i have skunk2 valve train and plan on buying aftermarket rods/pistons. will i see any gains with the sleeved block? i put up 195hp with my old setup. (LS crank/rods, P30 pistons and pro series valvetrain. stock bore).

trying to find some more torque. turn it around 7800rpm all summer long.

depending on your price range either just buy a block with a cracked sleeve and send it to golden eagle or i reccomend dan benson (he did mine). if your only makin 200 dont worry about spending the money. only about after 400 or so do you need to start worrying about sleeves

Sleeves alone won't give you any gains. They're stronger so they'll stand up to more abuse and you can run a bigger bore.

Theres really no need to sleeve your block for 200whp unless you plan on going to 84mm or larger.

im not sure what your goals are but if you wanting more powerr add fuel, air, spark, or compression. unless you want to spend about 1200 for a block and sleeves then dont worry about it cause your not making enough power to need them

So going from 81mm bore to 84 or 84.5mm bore won't give me any gains? In racing u try to get every edge u gain. A bunch of little gains add up to a big gain. How else can I gain torque?

12:1 comprssion rule. 450 lift cam. Allowed header cai after market pistons/rods.

Intake manifold and ignition must be stock.

i have pro series cams. compression is like 11.5.1. injectors must remain stock. no port and polish. thats why i thought a 84mm bore would help me. what do u think about 92mm crank? would it handle the constant rpms?

Sorry I failed to mention I had the LS crank/rods. For some reason I kept spinning rod bearings. Used acl bearings and 2 different crank/rods. Happened both times. Any ideas?

im running 84.5mm sleeves from dan benson and their rated to like 1300 until 85mm so you could get a tad more power from that. but the down side is are you willing to pay 1200 plus not having a motor for up to 2 months? when dan did mine i got lucky and shipped it right when he had a bunch of other b seris motors going under the knife so i got mine done in like 3 weeks. he says that if he is really busy tho sometimes it takes up to a month and a half with shipping and all. a little cheaper route would be to send it to golden eagle which is 900 i believe if they havent changed heir prices. iv heard both are good but i wanted the best to i spend the extra cash and time to have dan do it. either way with the power your making they should last a VERY long time and can still be bored quite a bit from what you decide to get
