Default b20 vtec wanting to turbo need help...

Hi everyone

Im new here.

Im from Australia and there isn't much helpful info on the b20 turbo so im hoping some people here can help a fellow crx nut out...

Im currently running a b20 vtec in a 88 ef7 crx.

It has the gsr integra 1.8ltr head
type R valve train
Buddyclub cams and cam gears
Chipped p28 ecu running crome tuning software.

Rhetorically wiring side us very dodgy so Im currently swapping everything into another shell so this time i.want to do it right.

What i want to know is what do i have to change to run it as.a turbo keeping.it.at.a decent.tune for street use.

And what ecu injectors turbo headers do people recommend?

Thanks Dave...

Well first, let's start in a different direction...

You should really read up on this subject. There are plenty of threads on build ups, forced induction setups/how-TO's, tuning information, ect... If you did this you would know what you need to accomplish your goals... the biggest one being how to tune a forced induction setup.

What is the power level you are shooting for? You can boost more/less than you think depending on how high you want to go. There isn't really such a thing as a "reliable" aftermarket turbo-charged vehicle. So basically it boils down to this...

1.) What is your budget?
2.) What is your power goal?
3.) I assume since you say street you want it all around performance, or are you wanting more of a straight line build?

Essentially these factors will determine what sizes you need to get... You could always go too big on somethings but others it would be detrimental...

Thanks for that...

I only have a galaxy s2 phone to browse on and Australian internet is pretty slow so ill see how i go finding these other threads.

Biggest things to find out are.

1. Will my chipped ecu work in turbo application or do i need to hondata ? Everyone here in qld i talk to just says get a microtech.
2. My b20 vtec is at 204 psi per cylinder is that too high for turbo?
3. I have the intercooler its.hybrid brand also have a td04 wrx turbo will this.be too big or.small for.what i want?
I want more straight line speed as i do alot of drag racing. looking.for a.comfortable 8-10 psi.

As most parts have to.come from usa anyway really want to know what turbo manifold dump pipe radiators ect yous run for best performance.

Thanks in advance
