There are a few generations of visors and then about ten years ago or so they started making model specific visors.
The older visors say "HONDA" on them. The next generation visors say "[H]", the Honda logo, on them.
Meanwhile you'll see that the 1997-2001 Prelude has a unique visor with two fins extending from either side and along the moonroof hole.
Some visors interchange, but not all.
I can fit a '92-'95 Civic visor on my '96-'00 Civic and visa versa. The '92-'95 visor seems to have the mounting bracket holes in a slightly different spot though, causing the visor to sit back about half an inch to a inch further than the '96-'00 Civic one.
'01-'05 Civic visors are so wide that they extend past my roof gutters of my '98 Civic. They at first look much like the ones meant for a '96-'00 Civic though (Honda logo and all). But they don't fit.
