Default Pop trunk prolemsss..cant figure out.. help!

sup fellas, i have pop trunk dilemma..i installed the solenoid and everything it works great..i tested in by letting the + solenoid wire touch the car battery and it pops.. but when i hook up the wire to the AUX on the alarm brain and press the option button the trunk wont pop..the remote is already programed for the AUX to work..could it be that i need a relay or some sort??? or is there some other way to solve this?

if you hooked the + wire that you touched to the battery to make it pop directly to the alarm it wont work because the alarm will put out a negative signal. you will need to add a relay and you will be good to go.

Which BTW is the reason they output a negative signal. The channel is only rated for 200ma and you'd blow it if it was directly driving the load. Bosch style relay wired as folows:

85 - alarm
86 - fused 12v
30 - fused 12v (same as above is fine)
87 - To solenoid

so i 85 goes to the AUX, and 86 and 30 both connect together to 12v and 87 to solenoid right??

Make sure you fuse your 12V source or don't blame me when you watch your car burn up!!!
