Default D16Y8, replacement engine came from a manual, going in an automatic questions.

I've searched high and low, but couldn't find anything on this topic except auto to manual swaps. I have an automatic 98 civic. How hard would it be to change the parts on a manual engine so it will work on an automatic transmission? What parts would I need to swap out?

Find a complete auto to manual swap and reverse it. Use that as a guide. Find a auto ECU.

I did an auto/manual and the manual tranny had A LOT of sensors... I think there are like3or4 sensors currently which arent plugged in... idk how that would work... unless u got an auto engine harness

Just the engine is being changed and the replacement came from a manual car? Swap the intake manifold and throttlebody.

Misleading thread title was misleading, so I changed it.

Well, if all you're doing is swapping engines then swap intake manifold and throttlebody as was mentioned. It sounded like you were swapping the engine and auto transmission into a car that used to be/is manual.

flywheel comes off the new good engine and replace it with the flex-plate from the old for the torque converter
