K20A2 KPRO Idleing high
I just got an RSX-S today and it has kelford stage 1's, RBC mani w/ adaptor, aem shorty, DC Header, and KPRO. It's Idle is around 2000 when u start it from cold. The kid that sold it to me said that he set it higher because of the cams. As of now it pulls hard and is great but should i trust that he knew what he was doing and just drop the idle down some. Or should i just load the basemap for ITR cams, header and cold air on 310cc's and work up from there. (I Searched around but just found a bunch of Posts of blasting ppl for not searching....ironic eh)
Any other KPRO tuning suggestions for my setup would be helpful.

upload your map> parameters>idle> adjust to say 1100-1200... if your idle is fluctuating adjust idle valve duty cylce lower in small incremints until you get a target idle.... then datalog and check to see how shes running i personally wouldnt 100% trust anyones map that didnt have the car tuned...

Thx guys, so 1100-1200 is about what i should be at with those cams? ...and yes it fluctuates but not like honda virus or anything its more like when i take it out of gear it falls to a different spot evertime. Since the map was saved on his comp and not mine i cant load his maps right?
Hey steel city, is there a map u recommend for me to use as the base map for this setup...i was thinking the ITR cams etc. map, but these are more aggresive profile than that, but not as aggresive as all the stage 2 setups.
One other thing, this car is wrecked in the front, it wiped out the radiator and condsenser as well as some body parts but the motor wasnt damaged, everything got pushed right up to the intake manifold, but wasnt touching it. Not sure if it matters but i forgot to mention it.
yes you can upload his map from the ecu, im not 100% sure if this is right bc ive only had to do this once but i think its under online in the top tab, then tools>download.
its hard to recomend a basemap, i would say if any the itr is probably your best to start with, do some datalogging and check out your AFR's and adjust accordingly, to get the most out of those cams you are going to need some dyno time to play with cam angles, but you can atleast get it running good with a street tune

you might even be fine idling at 1000, just try it out see if it starts to fall on its face bump it up a little, once you have that set adjusting the idle valve duty cycle will fix the problem with how your revs drop when you take it out of gear, if your idle drops too low the turn the cycle up if it drops to high turn it down
