can you throw the obd2 alternator connector on in place of an obd1 one? ie same amount of wires same locations etc?

 

 

Bro I just got done doing exactly this..I put a OBD2 motor in my OBD1 car and used my harness and just cut the alter. plug off the OBD2 harness and spliced into my harness..I think only 2 of the wires were the same color and the other 2 I just guessed and it has worked for like a week or so...So yes it can be done
