Default Splash sheilds behind rotors yes or no

Should I use splash sheilds or keep them off? Whats the worst that could happen?

you might get water on your rotors and brake dust on your knuckle

Leave them on, they actually aid in the cooling of the rotors.

IF your outer CV boot splits open, that could be bad news with no splash guard. I don't think grease all over the brake rotors is good. Better safe IMO.

But don't you have to pop the hub out to install them?

If you do that, your supposed to replace your wheel bearings (half the inner race pops out).

Ah i see now. The small front brakes have a brake in the dust sheild. Larger integra/EX sized brakes wrap all the way around and the larger diameter hub won't let you get to the screws either:

10.2" brake sheild:

even if it wraps all the way around you could always slot it to get it out
