Icon6 Help: 92 Civic Si D16A/D16Z6 won't start

Hello HT,
i have a solid CEL and car won't start, no fuel pump prime.
I have so far replaced the Main relay, a rebuilt distributor and checked all the fuses, especially dash 24 and hood 31.
when i jumped the main relay plug with terminal 5 & 7 i heard the fuel prime but other than that nothing..

i am suspect it's my stock P28 ECU, but not too sure about it..
checked the reference on plug D, D19 is giving me 0.33V and D20 is giving me battery power
i think while i was jumping the terminal 5 & 7 one of the wire touched the different terminal and shorted something like ECU..

is there anything else i should check before i go ahead and replaced my ECU?
i have wasted the money on the relay and a new rebuilt dizzy so i really don't want to waste another ecu for nothing.

i am in the area with no 92-95 OBD1 civic to test my ecu
so please let me know if there are other things i should check prior on replacing an ecu.

ps. car did start when the engine is cold or say if i failed to start the car; started and shuts down right away then recrank no luck... if i wait like 10 mins+ come back and try sometimes it might start.. when i got it started, car runs fine in short distance so..

let me know what you think
thank you

Open up and check the ecu, also check the ground. I know it sounds stupid but check the firing order/tdc etc..

From the FAQ

"0 (defined by CEL remaining on steady both without and with the service connector jumped) - indicates ECU power or ground problem when engine will not start; begin by checking the three main relay fuses and the G101 ground attached to the thermostat housing."

And that was my initial thought when I read solid CEL.

thank you for the replies

24Ten--> Word!!! i spent a good afternoon testing each wire from my main relay plug to ecu and such..
that leads me to think to double check my ground wires........

ok .. so this is what i have

my main relay is the 7 pin without terminal 4

tested each wire with ecu and relay in
1. Battery Good
2. Ground Good
3. ECU (A25) Good IG(on)
5. IGN Good IG(on)
6. Start switch Good IG(iii)
7. Fuel pump Fail IG(on) -----> cel on so no fuel pump Volt is normal right?
8. ECU(A7) Fail IG(on)/Start -----> Odd so i have battery reading +12V

so what does this mean guys?
i have a bad ground wire or what? on which side of the dash or it's G101(which i have checked) would there be a dead Ground wire somewhere i need to get this sort out so i can start my car.

symptons : solid CEL and no fuel prime

here's a dumb question did you mess with your thermostat, or intake manifold. there is a main ground that needs to be connected on the thermostat with that grounded my car wouldn't start. it's another lead in your adventure.

Also find someone with either a integra 92-95 or civic 92-95 and have them test your ecu. this way you can rule out the ecu. the worst it will throw a code like i said in the other post.

Another thing i've seen is when i used a 92-95 harness in my 89 Hatchback way before they made jumper harnesses. The IGN switch went bad, and would not create power to the dizzy. So it would never fire over...

G101 is good, i have double and triple checked.
i have checked front main relay switch to the ecu side by turning it on to position 2 On and its got voltage.
i am out of options guys...
i have been stuck like this for a week now.. car was running fine prior to a week ago..
it starts with engine shuts off twice while driving (making turns) then now solid CEL, no fuel prime, no relay click...

gonna torch it if i can't fix it....@!#@!$#$#@$

HELP~~~~
