Give more details about #7.

Does the CEL work? Are any codes thrown?

If the TPS turns out to be fine, swapping in a known good ECU is worth trying, especially if you can borrow one. If you lived near Houston, I'd let you try the ECU from my 00 Civic EX auto.

Sometimes I wonder whether the Honda Civic EVAP code system works properly.

If i unplug my power steering sensor switch i get no code but it does seem to be working.
This would not throw a code.

If i unplug my iacv or tps or map sensor i get an instant code.
Sounds good.

If i unplug my coolant temp sensor i get a high idle but no code...Ive always suspected the ecu, but why would the car run great otherwise?
That's very odd and suspect. Are you sure you unplugged the ECT sensor and not one of the other 2-3 ECT sensors in your engine bay? What color are the two wires? I would definitely test the two ECT sensor wires and resistance test the ECT sensor.

Ok, as far as the tps.. It used to show a voltage on my ohm meter about 6 months ago when i tested it. Now i checked it last night and it reads at 0 volts no matter where i move it to...With the original tps put back (its the original honda one) the cel went away and the tran shifted smooth again yet it shows 0 volts.... ???
Explain exactly how you are doing the voltage measurements.

The blue wire is probably to connect an external tachometer. I'll post some voltage tests for the TPS later.

Have you checked your knock sensor?

I would pull the ECU and check for bent pins.

Unplug the TPS sensor, turn the key to ON(II), and measure voltage to body ground at the Yel/Blu wire in the TPS connector. You can use the thermostat housing as ground. What voltage do you measure?

You said you had timing belt done, did you have the problem before the timing belt?

Also it is an original engine? a d16y8

Could be the distributor, sometimes with age they wobble as well.
