k20 head questions
ok so guna biuild a k20/k24. im geting a k20 head out of a base rsx. i was wondering what valve train or mix of valve trane prts would be the best. jdm cams or euro. just getting into k motors iv always been d aone h and d motors.
if you use a base head you are pretty much gonna be starting with nothing..
do yourself a favor and buy a type-s head.
BTW why do you want to build a frank? And if you are serious (no offense) then you should know the difference between a base head and type-s head for your k20/k24 frank.
What are your horsepower goals?
Going N/A or boost?
Why not just run a k24 longblock?
Do you just like the sound of k20/k20 frank... in the end it's still a k24.

ok ik there is a diff between the two heads but im asking if its lik a b series where the valve train is the only diff bc ill buy used type s valve train somewhere. this is my firts time messing with k series. idc what the hp is this is. just finaly starting to explore k seiries. i got the head for stupid cheap and my buddy has the. k24 block
the Block is out of a 2006tsx i dont remeber the exact code. once again got it for stupid cheap. and thnk you now i will search for the valve train. and one more question shoud i use the type s ecu or a civc si?
It's easier to just find a complete type s head instead of the entire valvetrain
You'll need kpro regardless so what ecu you use doesn't matter as long as it's from a manual car. If you're using a 6 speed tranny a prb is preferred because it has the reverse gear lockout.
