Default EK with B18b Swap which O2 Sensor?

Hi H-T

I have a 96 EK (which is a DX ) with a b18b from a 2000 Integra LS. I have the CEL for the lack of a secondary O2 sensor. I was wondering do i get a O2 sensor that for a Civic? or for a Integra motor?

Also do i get a cat for a civic ex/si or for LS integra?

I really want to get this to pass BAR

Thanks for your help!

I'm using a cat from a 99 civic EX with my Civic DX o2 sensor for my JDM B18C swap. I passed the BAR.

use a known working 4 wire o2 sensor. i wired mine directly to the ecu since i had a si harness. i tucked it behind the floor mat. passed emissions then went back to odb1. gl

Just use your old o2 sensor from your civic. I'm still using mine as stated before. Matter of fact, I'm still using both primary and secondary o2 sensors carried from my civic to my current swap. No issues.

If this doesn't work, search amazon for Denso or Ntk. Obd1 GSR and LS is the same. Obd2 could be different because of 1st and 2nd sensors. B18B's are easy to BAR.

I don't think OBD1 had O2 sensors on the cat. Just on the header. Since both your car is OBD2a, you should not be throwing a CEL unless you didn't hook up the sensor, connection is severed, or it's broken. Also, I would run a B18 cat if you are going for bar'd. Make it look as close to a factory as possible. No butt connectors for wiring.

After i got the civic back from the mechanic he didnt give me back any extra 02 sensors except the primary that was already on the car.

If i posted a pic of the connector would that be helpful in finding out which O2 sensor i need?

And he can't give it back?

The secondary o2 doesn't do much besides monitor the health of your catalytic converter. Just go to any auto store and purchase one (secondary o2) for your make and model civic.

I think the part numbers are the same. Research it.

According to Denso web site

The civic is Part Number 234-4065
and a Integra Ls is 234-4659

Here's my logic...

If you're using a wiring harness from a civic for your swap, stick with sensors for the harness. Although, from civic to integra, they're almost always the same.

they're all the same, its just a matter of how long the wires are.
