clutch installed backwards? input shaft bearing shot? input shaft damaged? axles seated properly? theres too many things that could be wrong here, could you post a video?

Sounds like clutch release bearing slid off of clutch release fork. Did you reuse all your old components, meaning just trans replacement, or did you use replacement trans clutch release fork, clutch release bearing, pressure plate, clutch disc, etc?

he says he doesnt have any gears, so i would think its not the release bearing, only because he would not be able to get into gear because the fork is not able to release the clutch by itself.

I read that wrong, I read it a not going into gear and noise in neutral.

It could be any number of things.

OP, was this a known good trans that you swapped in?

Filled with correct MTF fluid?
Clutch disc installed correctly?
Hydraulics bled and functioning correctly?

If yes to the above, I would start looking at the pressure plate as the culprit

The problem your having now is exactly the problem I had a year ago, would go into all gears with vehicle off, start car and depress clutch pedal, wont go into any gear. I tried everything, hydraulics, Genuine honda MTF, new clutch fork, in the end it ended up being a bad pressure plate, which was brand new from NAPA, got a Genuine Honda pressure plate, problem solved.
