I have a 92' civic Si stock everything D16A/D16Z6
recently got the axles, upper control arms and alignments done 3 days ago
Never had any sort of problems with this car ever

Alternator, battery, timing belt, water pump, temp, coolant all good.

so what happened today was.. i drove the car for like 2 hours then all of a sudden while i was making a left U turn, engine shuts off out of no where and i couldn't start it.. so i pushed it to the side then check all the plugs everything ..(car cranks but won't start) then 10 mins later i tried it again, car is back to normal.. so went to friends house to drop her off then again.. while making the Left U-Turn again.. car shuts off...wtf is going on??

can anyone tell me? but i did notice something this time it was harder to push, gear in neutral, then after i pushed it to the side.. right away i sat back on the driver side and car starts again.. so werid.. someone please help me out..

would it be the fuel pump? or something to do with the transmission by doing full 2 circle to the left on steering wheel in first gear then going to reverse or some sort??

so confused.... HT please help me out~

 

It's always 2things, either spark or fuel. Check and see if your getting spark/fuel...

 

I had one occasion with an accord that was sensitive to motion - stopping or backing up would cause a stall. In my case, it was severe corrosion in the fuel tank blocking the pickup. A fuel pressure test showed the fluctuating pressure at idle. Car idled and ran fine, wierdly enough - it only died if you sloshed the fuel forward in the tank.

Start with some basic no-start troubleshooting. When the engine stalls and won't restart, listen for whether the fuel pump primes and whether there is bright white spark at the plugs. Any CEL codes?

thank you for the replies.. had a busy yesterday so didn't get a chance to test anything but did drive the car for about 20 mins to drop a friend off.. car ran fine..

ps. no CEL lights showing but once i put the wires in it.. its show code 22.. Vtec oil pressure? once the wires been pulled out.. start the car again.. no CEL



anways.. i will dig into the fuel pump tonight to check if it needs a clean up or whatnot
but somehow i wonder if it has something to do with the distributor...

my 92 has no abs ..and no alarm complete stock

anyhow.. i will keep you posted.

Hi guys, sorry for the delay on updates
so heres the story, my car won't start but sometimes if i get lucky i would be able to start the car but once i shut the engine off it doesn't start anymore..

to sum up, i have so far, replaced the main fuel pump relay and a brand new rebuilt dizzy.
CEL stays on and no fuel pump prime. but by jump terminal 5, terminal 7 i heard the pump working.. so whats going on?
do i have a faulty ECU now?
i opened up the ecu and C-15/C-19/?? 21 maybe 3 or 4 of them looks like they just started to leak/melt

can someone help me plz
