Hey guys, my car is having this problem, when i step on the gas it will tend to have a bit of a lag, then revs a little then dies. My car starts up fine. Dont have any type of leak. Im guessing it might be my throttle body? But im not to sure

 

Check the TPS. 94

 

Check TPS (If you have to replace it, you'll have to buy a new throttle body because you can't replace just the TPS)

Check vacuum hoses
throttle cable
a dirty IACV can give some negative effects
MAP sensor
make sure your TB butterfly plate isn't sticking

Just a few ideas

 

TPS can be replaced if you need one just drill out the rivets and use the kit. There's tons of install info for this, make, model; and a multi meter.

Does it seem to idle hella rich or hella lean??

 

Pull your MAP and check the O ring for cracks. All the other suggestions above are good ones.

 

well my throttle cable has a kink in it, and my car doesnt idle

 

well imo the kink in the throttle cable shouldn't cause ur car To die but it might cause other issues like ur throttle gets stuck half way open etc.?but wat do u mean ur car won't idle?? If ur car starts has lag to rev then dies then imo I woult think that u have some restriction like not enough fuel clogged cat **** like that..but I need more details

 

well the idling is fine now. before it would just keep going up and down. but like whenever i try to drive it, and i step on the gas, it kinda feels like no gas is going, then it will just die out
